ABOUT THE AUTHOR


David Drum is a medical journalist based in Los Angeles. He is the author of seven nonfiction trade books in the health area, two novels, and more than one thousand magazine articles and other works of writing.

David Drum’s health books are distinctly useful and well-organized. All use an honest, educational, common sense approach. Books such as The Chronic Pain Management Sourcebook are known for their well-researched content and for their presentation of factual information in an empathetic, patient-centered, compassionate tone of voice.

David Drum has been a newspaper reporter, a teacher, an advertising copywriter, and a contributing editor and correspondent for newspapers, trade magazines and wire services. He has been working as an independent journalist and author since 1978.

David Drum earned an MFA from the University of Iowa, a BA from the University of California at Riverside, and an AA from Brevard College.  Graduate course study in business, education, and art.
